SOS Celebrates it's 32nd Anniversary!

On April 8, 2017,  Secular Organizations for Sobriety turns 32! That's 32 years of helping alcoholics and addicts recover through secular means. By way of celebration, the Los Angeles Center for Inquiry (CFI) will host the SOS 32nd Anniversary International Conference!  

This year, the SOS International Conference features..YOU…and all SOS members who can join us on this SPECIAL DAY! Also…we invite all well-wishers who have a working relationship with SOS to share recovery triumphs from the podium, onstage, all day long in the famed Steve Allen Theater!!! 

Our 32nd Anniversary International Conference also includes:

• International recovery speakers

• Celebrity Guests

• Authors’ book signings

This year's event is absolutely FREE!  So is lunch, and parking!

SOS in Belgium

SOS is a well-recognized and appreciated approach to addiction recovery in Belgium.  Jim Christopher visited Belgium with Roland Levy, long-time SOS leader in Sarasota, Florida, in celebration of the 30 year anniversary of SOS. Watch the interview, here.

Roland Pledges $5 a Mile!

SOS (501C3) Board of Directors member; SOS Advisory Board member; author of What Keeps Us Sober (LuLu Press, Inc. 2015) and longtime sober alcoholic since July 14, 1989, Roland Levy, LMHC (retired) led the Sarasota, Florida SOS recovery support group for thirteen years, and is now, once again, actively involved with his local SOS group.

A longtime endurance cyclist, Roland’s passion for long distance bike riding began as a child while visiting his relatives in Belgium every summer. They lived in the country and often asked the children to go into town in order to bring back provisions. The nearest store was 15 miles away and Roland’s love for cycling grew into a passion.

Roland begins his cycling endurance challenge on Halloween Day (October 31) and is pledging to donate $5.00 per mile on a 600-miles-maximum endurance ride for SOS!
